CCA Central Mississippi chapter is pleased to host this major presentation updating those attending on the significant progress made by USM in aquaculture projects. For years dating from prior to Hurricane Katrina,  GCRL pursued stock enhancement with Spotted Seatrout (SPEC: Seatrout Population Enhancement Cooperative) and Striped Bass that is now extended to additional species. Expanded efforts now address restoration of oyster culture both on marine bottoms and more recently farming operations. The University of Southern Mississippi has quickly reached the status of a leader in these efforts that has benefit to recreational anglers, our marine environment and our economy.

Our presenters hold major leadership roles and will provide a comprehensive presentation on these programs. Both are recognized experts nationally and you will appreciate the devotion both bring to their work.

McClain Resort is located off Hwy 25 east. Registration ($25.00) includes the McClain Evening Buffet and beverage. Come early and interact with the speakers and CCA colleagues. Bring your teenagers to learn about science and its application. For additional information, email CaptEicke@AOL.com or call (228) 806-1073.  RSVP that you plan to attend will be appreciated (by TEXT: 228.806.1073 or email to CaptEicke@aol.com).
